Oscar Natalio Bonavena was an Argentine professional boxer who competed from 1964 to 1976. He was born on September 25, 1942, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and was known for his aggressive fighting style and knockout power.

Bonavena fought in the heavyweight division and had a record of 58 wins, 9 losses, and 1 draw, with 44 of his victories coming by way of knockout. He faced some of the best boxers of his era, including Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, and Joe Frazier.

One of Bonavena's most memorable fights was against Muhammad Ali in 1970, where he gave Ali a tough challenge before ultimately being stopped in the 15th round. He also had a famous rivalry with Joe Frazier, with whom he fought twice, losing both fights.

Bonavena was tragically killed in 1976 at the age of 33 in Reno, Nevada, in a dispute over a woman. Despite his controversial personal life, he was a beloved figure in the boxing world and left a lasting impact on the sport.
